No, and we would rather say so plainly. Forever Studios has one studio, at 1000 Clint Moore Rd in Boca Raton, about 46 miles up I-95 from downtown Miami. Every tape, photo, slide and reel is digitized in that building by our own staff. Nothing is shipped to a third party lab. Miami customers reach us three ways: concierge pickup at your home or condo, a drive to the studio where walk-ins are welcome, or a prepaid insured shipping kit.

Not at all. We transfer audio exactly as recorded. Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and anything else comes through in your digital files precisely as it sounds on the original. Our team handles collections from Spanish-speaking families across Miami-Dade every week, and file names and delivery notes can be provided in Spanish on request.

Yes, and these are some of the most meaningful projects we take on. Prints that traveled in a suitcase and then sat through sixty Miami summers usually show creasing, silvering, humidity spotting and fading. We scan at high resolution first, so the original is captured before anything else happens, then restoration work is done digitally on the scan. The physical print is never altered. Restoration starts at $35 per image.

The same as everywhere else we serve, and we publish it: photo and slide scanning $0.50 each, video tapes $12 each in any format, 8mm and 16mm film reels $15 each, audio cassettes $15 each, DVDs and CDs $13 each, photo restoration $35 per image. Concierge pickup is free on orders of $250 or more, and $30 plus mileage below that. Standard turnaround is three to four weeks. There are no boxes to buy, no bundles and no per-minute charges.

Often there is. Water damaged tape is not automatically lost. The failure mode is usually mold and binder deterioration rather than destruction of the magnetic layer, and both can sometimes be treated. We assess each tape before quoting, and we tell you honestly when something is beyond recovery rather than charging you to find out. Bring it in and we will look at it.

Yes, and that is a large share of what we do in Miami-Dade. When a parent moves into assisted living or a condo is being cleared, the media usually surfaces all at once, in no order, in several boxes. We will sort it with you, tell you what is worth digitizing and what is duplicate, and quote the whole collection. There is no project too large.
