When I was a kid, I was fascinated by taking family videos with our “hi-tech” Sony Hi8 camera. I was obsessed with getting the best footage possible, from optimum lighting & camera angles to the best family poses. My love of capturing moments never stopped once I hit adulthood. Is this product a convert VHS to digital service?

Yes. Our skilled technicians use only the highest quality, industry-standard equipment to convert your tapes into digital files that can be loaded on to your choice of a DVD, Forever Safe USB drive, or Forever Cloud.

What video formats do you transfer?

We can transfer VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Hi-8, Video8, Digital 8, MiniDV, and BetaMax.

Is this VHS transfer service near me?

Unless you’re near our South Florida National HQ, no. But that doesn't mean it isn’t the best VHS to digital service for you. OUr amazing quality and easy ship kit choices make it easy no matter where you are.

Is this also a VHS to DVD service?

Yes! While we recommend the purchase of a USB drive with our VHS transfer service and tape transfer services, DVDs are available for an affordable price.

Is Forever Studios really the best VHS transfer service?

For outright quality of transfers and customer service, yes, we do believe that we are the best VHS to digital service in the country.

Can you fix the tracking on a VHS?

We can alleviate many tracking issues, but not all. Tracking problems will be a little better with Forever Gold transfers, but if a tape is really not playing well, there is only so much we can do.

What if my tape is blank?

If your tape is blank we will give you a full credit to use towards a future order.

Can tapes be fixed?

We offer tape repair for broken tapes and do everything possible to fix them. On the rare occasion we receive a tape beyond repair, we give you a full credit to use towards a future order.

Can you combine my tapes onto a single DVD?

We do not combine tapes onto one DVD. It will be one tape per DVD.

Can I edit my files?

If you get our 30-day Cloud link or a Forever Safe USB, you will receive an mp4 file. This digital file is easy to edit in any video editing software. Our DVD option does not allow any edits.

Do you rewind tapes?

We rewind the tape before we transfer it. At the end we do not rewind the tape so as not to put additional wear on the tape.

Can you convert PAL tapes?

Yes we can. We convert PAL VHS, PAL Mini DV, PAL Beta, and PAL Hi8.

Do I need to label or order my tapes before sending them to you?

No, as we’ll do that during intake. If you use the pack in labels that come with a ship kit, we’ll digitize and organize your tapes in the exact order you provide them to us.

Do I receive my old tapes back after they are transferred?

Yes, all your original media is returned to you at the time your order is complete.

How long does it take to convert tape to digital?

All work is completed in 2 to 3 weeks. We do offer rushed services if you are too excited to wait. Simply select the rush processing option at checkout.

Will the DVD work in my DVD player?

Of course! All Forever Studios DVDs are copyright and protection free. They are formatted to work in a DVD player. DVDs usually work on Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, or DVD-capable computers, if they are formatted to do so.

What if some of my tapes are in really poor condition?

Our advanced technology is some of the best in the industry to perform the highest quality transfer possible. We do everything we can to achieve the highest possible result, however the quality of the final file is highly dependent on the source that is provided to us.

Can old video tapes be restored?

All tape transfers include our high quality patented transfer process which most of the time improves the color and clarity of your tapes. Forever Gold transfers will have significantly more improvement.

How do I get my digital files back?

You have the option of our Forever Safe USB, Forever Cloud Membership, Digital Download, and DVDs.

What format are the files I get back?

We provide mp4 file format.

Will all my videos fit on one USB?

Certainly! We will provide a Forever Safe USB large enough to fit all your digitized videos, and you can order multiple copies.

How do I recover deleted files from a USB drive?

Accidents happen, so we keep an archive of all your digital files for up to one year.

How do I backup my USB files?

Creating a backup of your memories is a great insurance policy in case anything happens to your original USB drive. Simply plug your USB drive into your computer and open the folder. Click the files you want to move and drag them to the desktop or the folder you would like to store them in.

Does my digital download link expire?

Yes, access to your videos will expire after 30 days You will have an opportunity to extend your subscription and keep access to your videos. We offer yearly memberships where you can cancel at any time.

How do I download my files from Forever Cloud?

If you have purchased a Forever Cloud subscription, simply login to your Forever Studios account and go to "My Cloud". Here you can select and download your videos.

Where are my videotapes being digitzed?
