You spread it out
Boxes, albums, loose tapes, the shoebox nobody has opened since the move. We go through it with you and tell you what is worth doing and what is not.
Step 2
You get a real number
Counted in front of you, priced per item: tapes from $12, photos from 50¢. No bundle to fill, no order fee, no invoice arriving after the fact.
Step 3
You decide what stays
Some of it you will want done now, some later, some not at all. You leave with a plan rather than a receipt.
Step 4
It never leaves the building
Logged by name, worked on by a technician who signs off on it, checked five times by hand. Then you either pick it up or we ship it back insured.

Drive down. No appointment needed. Mon–Fri 9–6, Sat 10–5. Bring everything; we will tell you what is worth doing.
Ship it in. We send a prepaid kit to your door. Your originals are logged on arrival, stay in the one building the whole time, and come back to you insured at declared value, with return shipping billed at cost.

Legacybox, Southtree and Kodak Digitizing sell the box: a 2-, 10- or 20-item kit at a set price, filled or not. We price the item. Send three tapes, pay for three tapes.

Maximum liability: the fees you paid, “or $100, whichever is less.”
iMemories Terms & Conditions. Capture’s terms cap at $100 too, “in aggregate for all violations.”
For what it is worth, our own return shipment is insured at declared value, and you are welcome to come and collect it in person instead.
