Lee County Summers Are Destroying Your VHS Collection
Fort Myers summers push garage temperatures well above 100 degrees. VHS tapes from family vacations on Sanibel, school events, and holiday gatherings stored in non-climate-controlled spaces are warping and shedding oxide at an accelerating pace. Every summer that passes takes more quality away.
- Professional decks handle heat-warped tapes
- VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Betamax accepted
- Mold treatment and cleaning included
- Output to USB, cloud, or DVD
- Volume pricing for large collections
Slides from Fort Myers Edison Era and River District
Fort Myers has a photographic history stretching back to the Edison and Ford winter estates. Families throughout Lee County have 35mm slide collections documenting decades of river district life, Caloosahatchee sunsets, and community growth. These slides are fading faster in southwest Florida humidity.
- 35mm slides and negatives scanned at high res
- Kodachrome and Ektachrome color preserved
- Dust and scratch correction included
- High-resolution output for reprinting
- Carousel organization maintained
Preserving Family Photos from the Cape to Lehigh
The greater Fort Myers area from Cape Coral to Lehigh Acres holds millions of family photos in closets, drawers, and storage facilities. Military families from the former Page Field, seasonal residents, and multi-generational Lee County families all have prints that are deteriorating in the subtropical climate.
- 600 DPI scanning for full detail
- Restoration of water-damaged prints
- Color correction by human experts
- Handles stuck-together and album-mounted prints
- Large-format and Polaroid accepted
Fort Myers Media Preservation Challenges
Fort Myers faces unique environmental threats to media preservation:
Southwest Florida averages 55+ inches of rain annually and humidity that regularly exceeds 80% during the wet season from June through September. Hurricanes Ian and Charley have caused devastating flood damage throughout Lee County. Salt air off the Gulf Coast accelerates corrosion of tape oxide layers. Homes and storage units in Iona, Cape Coral, Estero, and Bonita Springs all face the same persistent risk from moisture and mold.
This isn't a someday project. Every year of delay means more irreplaceable content lost to moisture, mold, and mechanical failure. Your family's memories deserve preservation now.
We built Forever Studios because every family deserves to have their memories preserved the right way. Real people, real equipment, under one roof. Fort Myers families trust us because we treat their collections the way we'd treat our own.
