One kit covers every trip: the box to your door, your box to our studio in Boca Raton, and the return. When it arrives, we count every item and update your order before anything is digitized.

How it works
Five steps, door to door.
Give us your best guess when you order. You never have to count tapes at the kitchen table, because we count everything when it arrives.

Your kit arrives
A sturdy box and a prepaid label addressed to our studio. Before it ships, we may text to ask what you are sending, so we pack the right size box.

Pack it and ship it
Tapes, film reels, photos, slides, cassettes and discs can all go in the same box. Seal it, attach the label and drop it off with the carrier printed on the label.

We count every item
When your box arrives, every item is logged and tagged. If the count or formats are different from your order, we update your invoice with a pay link or a refund.

Work begins
Work starts once your order is settled. Follow every step in My Projects: Received, In production, Quality control, then Ready or Shipped.

Files and originals come back
Most orders are ready about 3 weeks after your media arrives. We text you when it is ready, and your originals come back with tracked return shipping, already paid for by the kit.
What the $25 covers
Three trips, one price.
Some mail-in kits bill the return trip after the work is done. Ours is paid for the day you buy the kit, so the price you see is the shipping you pay.

Your box to our studio
A prepaid, tracked label. One building does the work, start to finish.
The trip home
Your originals and any USB drive come back to you, tracked.
More than 40 tapes?
Add a kit for every 40.
Each kit holds up to 40 tapes. For a bigger collection, add another $25 kit for each additional 40 tapes. Photos, reels and discs can share the box. Not sure how many kits you need? Chat with us and we will help.

10 VHS tapes, two 5 inch film reels, 200 loose photos and a USB drive: $315 plus the $25 kit.
30 VHS tapes and a USB drive: $395 plus the $25 kit, which holds up to 40 tapes.

Your box comes to one building in Boca Raton, Florida, where the same team handles it from the day it arrives to the day it ships home. Forever Studios has been doing this work since 2007.
Every order is checked five times by hand, whatever you send:
Receiving
Every item is inspected by hand and logged the day it arrives, before anything is played.
Technician
Reads the receiving notes, handles each item again and decides how to run it.
Capture
The footage is watched while it captures, and problems are logged as they happen.
Department lead
The technical lead checks the finished capture. Anything wrong goes back to the bench.
QC department
A separate team checks the whole order before it is released.
Every tape is logged by its label, so your order shows exactly what arrived.

Questions about the ship kit.
How do I order a kit?
Choose Home ShipKit when you order online, or call (561) 235-7808 and we will set it up. The kit is $25.
What does the $25 cover?
Three trips: the kit to your door, your box to our studio on a prepaid label, and the return of your originals and any USB drive. All three are tracked.
How many tapes fit in one kit?
Up to 40 tapes. For more, add another $25 kit for each additional 40 tapes. Photos, film reels and discs can go in the same box.
What happens when my box arrives?
We log and tag every item. If the count or formats are different from your order, we update your invoice with a pay link or a refund before work starts.
Can I cancel my kit?
Yes. Tell us before the kit ships and we refund the $25. Once it has shipped, the $25 is not refundable because the prepaid shipping is already paid for, but the kit still covers shipping your media to us and back.
Can you send the kit to a relative?
Yes. If the tapes or photos are at a family member's home, give us their address and we will mail the kit there. Tell us where the finished order should go: back to you, to them or to someone else.
Do long tapes cost more?
No. A tape is one price whether it runs 20 minutes or six hours.
What about blank or broken tapes?
If a tape is blank, we let you know and give you store credit for it. Damaged tapes can often be repaired for $10, charged only if the repair works.
Which carrier do I use?
Drop the box off with the carrier printed on your label. A box left with the wrong carrier can be delayed. Keep your receipt until your order shows Received in My Projects.
How long does it take?
About 3 weeks from when your media arrives at our studio. Need it sooner? Choose rush when you order: 7-day, 3-day (+25%) or next-day (+50%).
Do I need a subscription?
No. Your files come back on the delivery you choose, such as a USB drive. Forever Cloud is an optional paid membership if you want your files online.
Are you related to forever.com?
No. Forever Studios is an owner-operated studio in Boca Raton, Florida, in business since 2007. FOREVER, at forever.com, is a separate company.
