Does Forever Studios serve Sunrise, Florida?
Yes. We drive to you, and your collection never enters a shipping network. There is no drop-off counter in Sunrise, no partner shop and no franchise. We come to the house, sort the collection with you, and the same company that picked it up is the one that digitizes it, 25 miles up the road.

We are one studio in Boca Raton, about 30 minutes from Sunrise. Bring it in yourself and hand it to the people who will do the work, or stay home and we will collect it on Thursday.
What matters is not how close the drop-off is. It is how many buildings your originals pass through between leaving your house and coming home.
For us that number is one. For a mail-in warehouse, nobody will tell you.

Slide and photo scanning
The city filled up in the 1970s, which is exactly when everybody was shooting slides. Fifty years on, the dyes have shifted and the shift is not reversible in the carousel.

Not sure what you have? Photograph the pile and call. Most people describing “old home movies” turn out to have two or three different formats in the same box, and each one needs a different machine.

Broward humidity sits around 75 percent most of the year and pushes past 85 percent in the wet season. Sunrise garages clear 100 degrees in summer, and the condo communities in Sunrise Lakes and Welleby are full of storage closets that were never built to hold magnetic tape.
Wilma in 2005 and Irma in 2017 both came through western Broward. Between the storms and the heat, every year of delay costs real footage. Mold, binder breakdown and the sticky-shed that ruins a deck do not reverse.
Where they end up instead: a climate-controlled floor, not a garage in August.

The city your collection came from.
Sunrise was orange groves and sawgrass until the 1960s, then it filled up almost overnight. Which means the family albums here start at a specific moment, and most of them have spent every summer since in a garage or an attic on the edge of the Everglades.

Do you pick up in Sunrise?
Yes. We are in Broward on Thursdays and we come to the house, the condo or the storage unit. Pickup is free on orders of $250 or more anywhere in the county, and $30 plus mileage below that. We sort the collection with you before anything goes in the van, so you know what you are paying for.
How far is your studio from Sunrise?
About 25 miles, roughly 30 minutes up the Sawgrass Expressway or I-95. There is no drop-off counter in Sunrise and no partner shop. Everything is digitized by our own staff in our own building in Boca Raton.
What formats are most common from Sunrise households?
VHS leads by a distance, then Hi8 and MiniDV, then boxes of prints from family events across the 1980s to the 2000s. Because the city filled up in the 1970s we also see an unusual number of 35mm slide carousels.
My VHS tapes are from the early 1980s. Is the content still recoverable?
In many cases yes, but these are forty year old tapes and Broward heat has not helped. We clean and, where needed, bake tapes that have gone sticky before they ever touch a deck. Tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly what is likely to come back.
Can you digitize a whole estate or a condo clear-out at once?
Yes, and in the Sunrise Lakes and Welleby communities that is a lot of what we do. When a parent moves or a unit is being cleared, the media surfaces all at once and usually on a deadline. Pickup is free at that size and we count everything on site.
What does it cost in total?
Pickup is free on orders of $250 or more. The digitizing is per item, not per box: ten tapes at $12 each is $120. Estimates are free, so call with a rough count and we will give you a real number before we come out.
