Took them a box of old reel to reel film, old slides and several VCR tapes that my mother had laying around the house. Spoke to a nice lady and then Zachary the owner. We had a great time discussing what we wanted done and reviewing the options available for premium and standard digital duplication and touch up finishing. This is one of those instances where if everything had gone 100% right from the beginning I don't know if I would have been as satisfied. We had a miscommunication and when they called my mother to let her know everything was finished there was a discrepancy over price . I thought I had paid in full when I dropped off the items and they told my mother it was only an estimate. I called the studio back and spoke to two women then asked to be called by the owner Zachary. Zachary called me back within the hour, even though he was on Vacation and we discussed the situation. He was extremely reasonable and polite and took care of everything. My wife had lost all photos of herself as a child except for one picture about 2 inches high. She was afraid of losing that one too and kept it in here wallet all the time. Knowing how important it was to her, I borrowed it one day (without her knowledge) and scanned it into the computer, just in case. It was almost 20 years old, worn and tattered. Well, her wallet and the picture within it were ultimately lost. I sent the scanned image to Forever Studios and asked them to restore it and to place her in a nice background. The result was nothing short of amazing. When they sent me the final proof, I was stunned. It exceeded my wildest hopes. They were not only able to make the 2-inch picture look fantastic, but they were able to scale the resolution up to where it printed beautifully at 8x10. I gave the newly restored 8x10 picture to my wife for her birthday. When she opened it, she was speechless. She just sat there for nearly five minutes staring at it. I could see her eyes moving from one point in the picture to another, over and over again taking the whole thing in. Finally, she just looked up and smiled. She loved it! Great experience with Lucy during the ordering process last Friday and the pickup and review today! She is exceptionally talented in suggesting different options for presenting the photos taken by my father 65 years ago during the Korean War on old Kodaslide color transparencies. We recently worked with Forever Studios on a precious family photo that had severely fade over decades of time. It was a priceless photo that was treasured by multiple family members, but unfortunately, both the colors and resolution were severely compromised. I had two black and white photos that were 63 years old. I wanted them restored, colorized, and enlarged. They did an outstanding job with both of them. I couldn't be more pleased. What you can expect from your film transfer

We can at least capture as good as the quality on the existing tape.

If your photo has very little detail, is blurry, or there are parts missing, it may not be possible for us to recreate certain elements, especially facial features, expressions and other elements that are missing from the original.  While we can improve any photo no matter the condition, here are some examples of originals that would show minimal improvement.

What if part of my photo is missing,?

We do not reconstruct details of a photos, we only restore them. if for example a head is cut off or a limb not in the photo, we can not recreate it.

Can you process my order faster (rush it)?

Yes, 24 hour rush processing is available for an additional 100% (2x) cost.

How long does it take?

Restorations are guaranteed to be sent to you for approval within 3 days. Once approved we will immediately send you the digital file.  If you ordered a print, that will be mailed to you within 24 hours or available for pickup.

Questions About Ordering

Can you colorize my photo?

Yes, we can. It is an additional $35 to add colorization.  Please understand that in all cases we have to guess what colors to use so the results vary, but quite often do not look as natural as the original would.  If you would still like us to colorize your photo, please request it and we will be happy to do it for you.

* What resolution should I scan my photo?

* For best results, please scan your photo with at least 300 dpi

For Photos 2×3 or smaller – Scan at 1200 dpi.

For Photos 2×3 – 5×7 in – Scan at 600 dpi.

For Photos larger than 5×7 – Scan at 300 dpi.

How do I scan my photo?

First, start off by wiping the glass of the scanner with a non-abrasive wipe and some Windex. Make sure the glass is completely dry before placing the picture down. Make sure the picture rests against one side of the scanner so that it remains straight. Preview the picture before scanning it. Save your photos as a .Jpeg or .JPG file without compression at 600 dpi. Scan all photos using the Color option even if they are B&W.

My photo already has some color. Will I have to pay the extra $35 to restore it in color?

No, you will not. Colorization would only apply to a photo that is black and white or grey scale.

What if I am not happy with the result?

If you are not happy for any reason we will revise your photo per your instructions.  We will do this until you are satisfied with the result.

How will i get my restored pictures?

If you just ordered the included digital image it will be emailed to your email address of record.  If you ordered prints, they will be mailed to you or held for pick up in our store.
