CVS Photo Centers offer a range of services to help print out your pictures. From mini-prints and collages to height charts and banner prints, CVS handles a lot of quick printing jobs. And when I say quick, I mean same-day pickup quick for most projects. Now, I will give credit where credit is due. CVS is a great place to get a lot of not-so-<a href="https://foreverstudios.com/why-do-photos-fade-over-time/">old photos</a> printed out; they'll even develop 35mm film or disposable camera cartridges. They have a great reputation for a reason, and we’re definitely not looking to bad mouth them here.

The question is, should you trust them with all of your printing needs? Personally and professionally, I would not trust them with wedding/family photos or any other photos of sentimental value. Especially if that image needs any restoration. The fact is, CVS is great for the quick stuff. If you just need basic prints for photos that don’t need much (if any) work, then by all means, they’ll get the job done for you. But if you need ultra-high quality prints that are for decoration, display, or archiving, they’re not the right choice. Especially if the photo needs fixing or restoration. That’s where your friends at Forever Studios come in.

CVS Photo kiosks, like many other national photo retailers (I'm looking at you, Walgreens Photo, Walmart Photo, and Nations Photo Lab), are popular options because you can get your photos within a couple of hours. Sometimes, it can even be done within one hour (depending on the choice of paper type: glossy vs. matte and size print). And they offer such a wide selection:

Generally speaking, the results are satisfactory. But honestly, that’s pretty much the most you should expect - a fairly good product for a somewhat reasonable price. There are a lot of companies that can provide the same online services with better quality. And CVS doesn't even have the lowest prices; there are more affordable options.

CVS Photo is the place to go when your phone's photo gallery is full.


CVS photo is pretty middle ground quality-wise. For every positive review I saw online, there were reviews stating that the color saturation was off or the image was blurry and streaked. In all fairness, the original image files might've been low resolution. Regardless, CVS is the place to go when you want to get a lot of stuff printed when your phone's photo gallery or Google Photos is full.


<h2 style="text-align: left; margin: 30px 0 15px 0;">Does CVS Offer Photo Restoration and Color Correction Services?</h2>

The short answer is, no it does not appear that CVS offers <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">Photo Restoration</a> at this point in time in 2025.

The long answer is that Google and various other websites say that CVS does offer <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">photo restoration services</a> and color correction, but this is likely a remnant of previous points in time where they have offered it in the past. Despite all of my best efforts, I can't find a legitimate direct link for <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">photo restoration</a> on the CVS website.

Even if they have offered <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">photo restoration</a> in the past, it would not have been done by CVS themselves. Typically a major retailer like CVS, Walgreens or Costco will make a deal with a 3rd party provider to rebrand their services and offer them through their photo centers.

Unfortunately this tends to add a significant layer of confusion and delays onto the process, and is why most of the deals that had existed to offer either digitizing or restoration through these major retailers have fallen through.

Forever Studios has never taken one of these deals, specifically due to the fact that it tends to badly compromise the customer experience. We’d rather you found your way to us and used our platform, so we can make absolutely certain that you get the right experience and service.

The closest thing I can find to a service partner that has some sort of association between them and CVS is the company American Photo Restoration, which mentions CVS in their brand literature. Perhaps they are the most recent partner CVS has used in an attempt to provide <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">photo restoration services</a> (but we can’t confirm this).

For $39, the minimum cost, you can get your photo "completely restored" or colorized. You get two 5x7 or one 8x10 photo print(s) and a CD with digital files.

It sounds like a great deal, but would you really trust CVS or its associate company to restore your vintage photos? No! You should go to a <a href="https://foreverstudios.com/old-photo-restoration/">photo restoration expert</a>. Because results matter. A good deal isn’t a “good deal” if the product isn’t great.
